BUYER PLANNING NOTES
Choose the bag supply format
State whether you will supply finished pouches or film on a roll. Include a drawing, sample, material structure and size range where available. Ask the supplier to identify which forming, opening, filling and closing steps are included. A quotation for one format should not be assumed to cover another.
Describe how the product reaches the bag
Record whether the product is powder, granules, loose pieces or a liquid, and identify any known dust, fragility or flow problems. Define the required quantity per bag and measurement method. Ask how the proposed feed and dosing system handles the actual product, including interruptions and residual product at the end of a run.
Check seals and format changes
Agree which samples will demonstrate bag opening, fill consistency, seal appearance and package integrity. Include the smallest and largest sizes in the changeover discussion. Ask about film tracking, printing or date coding interfaces, rejected bags and access for cleaning. Keep acceptance limits as project requirements to be confirmed, not as performance claims about an untested machine.
