Wolf Hangzhou
Wolf Hangzhou (德沃包装机械(杭州)有限公司) builds vertical form-fill-seal machines and complete packaging lines in Hangzhou for food and non-food products. Its catalogue has four lines: the EPS Twin, which combines bagging, multihead weighing and metal detection in one system; the VCI 250 and VCI 350 servo baggers, which accept a choice of feeders; the VPP 250, built around stored recipes; and the VPZ140, built around printed-film control. Wolf suits buyers who want the bagger, the dosing unit above it and the inspection after it from one supplier.

SECTION 01
Company background
Wolf says its Hangzhou operation was founded in 2008 and manufactures vertical filling and sealing equipment in China, using technology and components linked to the German Wolf business. The company page also mentions operating guidance and maintenance support for customers. [1]
The website gives cumulative installation and staff totals with no date attached. Read them as background, and ask for current figures if they matter to your shortlist.
ProPak China's 2026 exhibitor publication carries the same Chinese company name and, on page 100, a VCI350 built for frozen food. Its account of the company's age differs from the 2008 founding year on Wolf's own site. [7]
SECTION 02
What Wolf makes
Swipe or scroll the table to compare all columns.
| Equipment | What Wolf describes | Ask when quoting |
|---|---|---|
| EPS Twin | Bagger, multihead weigher and metal detector integrated as one system | Who commissions and accepts the full weighing, detection and reject sequence? |
| VCI 250 / VCI 350 | Servo bagging; filling starts after the bottom seal, signalled to the feeder above | Which feeder fits your product, and what separates the two models? |
| VPP 250 | PLC control with up to 100 stored recipes and touchscreen settings | Which values come back with a recipe, and which tooling changes stay manual? |
| VPZ140 | Film guiding, registration-mark cut control and automatic temperature control | Will your printed film cut in the right place with sound seals? |
The two VCI pages carry nearly identical functional text, so ask Wolf for a written table of what separates VCI 250 from VCI 350. The numbers 250, 350 and 140 are model names. Request bag widths, speeds and output for the exact configuration you are quoted. The customized VCI350 from the ProPak feature is covered on the VCI series page. [2][3][4][5][6][7]
SECTION 03
How to specify a Wolf line
Start with your product and the finished bag. Send representative material, the target fill quantity, a finished-bag drawing and the film you will actually run. Say whether the product is fragile, dusty, prone to bridging or variable in bulk density. Wolf can then propose a feeding and dosing setup. For the VCI machines it offers four feeder types, from volume cups and auger screws to multihead weighing and pump metering, so ask which one it recommends for your product and what changes the machine needs to run it. [3][4]
Next, split the transfer duties. A correct dose still has to fall into the bag without fouling the seal area. Agree who supplies the discharge chute, support frame, bagger controls, detector and outfeed conveyor. The EPS Twin description is a good starting point for an integrated system. Ask for a priced equipment schedule that names each unit, because catalogue pictures can show items outside the quoted scope. [2]
Then define output as good bags. Count filled bags that pass inspection over a stated trial period, with stops, restarts and rejects included. Machine cycles, dosing events and accepted packages are three different counts. Wolf's pages publish no packs-per-minute figure, so get the rate for your bag written into the quotation. A written buying brief keeps all of these inputs in one document.
SECTION 04
Changeovers and operator work
The VPP 250 page centres on stored recipes, while the VPZ140 page centres on film control. They solve different problems on the shop floor. A recipe brings back setpoints; forming parts, film reels and feeders may still be swapped by hand. During the trial, switch between two real jobs and record the mechanical work, adjustments, wasted film and time to the first good bag. [5][6]
Ask for a sample of the operator screens in your language and a training plan before you confirm the order. Service response time, where spare parts are stocked and warranty terms for your country all belong in the contract. [1]
SECTION 05
Confirm before ordering
Before signing, get these points from Wolf on paper:
- which company name goes on the contract, and its factory address, checked against current registration papers;
- which components of the quoted machine come from Germany and which are made in Hangzhou;
- current ownership, if the German connection affects your decision;
- dated installation and staff figures, if you plan to rely on them.

SECTION 07
Frequently asked questions
Does Wolf Hangzhou build its own machines?
Wolf's company page says the Hangzhou operation manufactures the equipment. If that matters to your order, plan a factory visit and ask for current company documents before signing. [1]
Does EPS Twin have two lanes?
Wolf's page gives no lane count, and the product name says nothing about output. Ask for a layout drawing and the operating sequence. [2]
Is the catalogue enough to set a budget?
No. The pages explain functions but leave out sizes, rates and delivery terms. Use the equipment pages to build your questions, then get a model-specific proposal and a sample trial.
Why do VCI 250 and VCI 350 share one page?
Wolf describes them in almost the same words. One page keeps both models together until Wolf supplies the figures that set them apart.
