ZH-GD8-200 in brief

The ZH-GD8-200 from Zhongheng is an eight-station rotary packer for bags you buy ready-made. It runs flat, stand-up and zipper stand-up pouches 100–200 mm wide and 100–350 mm long, at a listed maximum of 50 bags/min. It draws 4 kW at 380 V, 50/60 Hz, and weighs 1,200 kg. Choose it when the finished pouch is already decided and you need a machine to open, fill and seal it.

A pouch that fits these sizes can still run badly if its stiffness, gusset, zipper shape or filled weight makes it hard to grip. Send several production-quality pouches with the inquiry, and agree which bag variations must run without swapping parts.

Premade pouch, not roll film

The ZH-GD8-200 handles finished bags. It does not form pouches from rollstock, so you buy printed pouches instead of film, and change parts follow the pouch design. [2] For roll-film work, look at the vertical machines in the Zhongheng range. [1]

Bag-opening detection

Zhongheng describes a sensor that checks whether each bag has opened. If it has not, the machine skips filling and heat sealing for that bag. [2]

Ask to see this during a trial. Feed normal bags and a few that will not open, then watch what the machine does and where the empty bag ends up. A screen alarm on its own is weaker than a machine that holds back the product, so check which one you get.

Request the operating sequence, interlocks and recovery steps for the offered version. Include how the dosing unit waits for an open bag before it discharges.

Dosing for your product

The ZH-GD8-200 page lists granular, flaked, strip-shaped, spherical and powder products. [2] Ask which dosing and product-contact equipment comes with the machine for your product. Powders and fragile items often need a different feeder.

Baishang's customized powder system takes the opposite approach. Its weighing controls and fast, medium and slow feed stages are the core of the offer, and bag handling is chosen around them.

Trial topics change with the product. For a fragile snack, watch drop height and breakage. For a dense pellet, watch target dose and filled-bag load. For a dusty product, watch product escaping near the seal.

Any dosing accuracy figure should name the product, target weight, measuring method and sample size. Machine speed and net good bags after rejects and stops are two separate numbers.

Running an acceptance trial

1. Fix the pouch specification and product batch for the test, and name the dosing and feed set-up.
2. Count accepted bags, and log empty bags, opening failures, seal faults and product rejects separately.
3. Run the agreed product and pouch variations, and report every stop and recovery.
4. Time a format change and list each adjustment, part swap and cleaning task it includes.
5. File the report with the model and configuration so later changes get a fresh check.

Confirm before ordering

Ask Zhongheng to put these in writing for your order: the minimum sustained rate, dosing tolerance for your product, film use, noise level, changeover time and commercial terms. The product page shows a CE mark, so request the declaration and technical file for the exact machine you buy. Ask for current photos of the offered machine.
