Company and factory

Guqi gives its location as Beilun, Ningbo, in Zhejiang, and describes its own manufacturing and testing facilities on its website. Plan a factory visit around those shops if you are buying more than one module. [1]

What Guqi makes

SECTION 03

GQL-4535 L-sealer and shrink tunnel

The product page pairs the GQL-4535 L-sealer with a GQS-4525 shrink tunnel. One technical entry writes the tunnel as GQS-4525L, so ask Guqi which tunnel model your quotation covers. The specification table also runs some numeric columns together; request a clean, dated sheet with headings and units. [2]

The sealer lists maximum product length, width and height, plus combined limits for length with height and for width with height. A product can sit inside each single maximum and still fail a combined limit. Check your pack against both before asking about anything else.

Guqi lists film feeding, perforation, cutting, waste film take-up and photoelectric product sensing on this system. Format changes are manual adjustments, so plan operator time for each changeover. [2]

SECTION 04

Testing a shrink-wrapping order

For shrink packaging, ask Guqi for production samples taken before and after the tunnel. Agree the film closure, appearance, product damage and reject criteria in advance. If the offer also includes a case packer or robot, test each of those on its own first and then run the whole line together. A good sealer demonstration tells you about the sealer only.

The product page gives separate speed entries for different modules. Ask Guqi to state one accepted line rate for your product and film.

Write a brief that gives product dimensions and tolerances, orientation, fragility and heat limits, film specification and the output you need. Describe how products arrive, where they accumulate downstream and what should happen when a module stops. Add access, operator tasks and changeovers to the layout review.

SECTION 05

Confirm before ordering

Ask Guqi to confirm in writing:

• current price, lead time and certificates;
• an accepted-output trial on your own product;
• which modules Guqi assembles itself and which it buys in or integrates;
• a parts list for your configuration, electrical and guarding documents, and the final test record;
• the exact sealer and tunnel model names and what each specification column means;
• permission before you reuse any catalogue image in your own materials.
