Ningbo Estes Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd.
Ningbo Estes Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd. makes inspection and production equipment for metal packaging in Ningbo, Zhejiang. Its range covers dimensional and surface inspection, code inspection, leak testing, equipment used in making cans, ends and caps, film wrapping and unwrapping, and pallet handling. Its EST-EW wrapper stacks metal ends or caps into rolls and wraps them at 4–6 rolls a minute. Estes suits can, end and cap makers who need an inspection station, an end-of-line wrapper or help moving pallets of empty containers.

SECTION 01
Company background
Estes dates its history to 2010 and describes itself as the former Ningbo Sunway business. The same profile describes a related company, Golden Eagle, with a longer history. That earlier founding date belongs to Golden Eagle, so check which company signs your contract and which one built the reference systems you are shown. [1]
A Zhejiang government notice from December 2019 lists Ningbo Estes and its EST-P aerosol-can leak-testing equipment among first-set products. The entry covers that leak tester only. [3]
SECTION 02
What Estes makes
Each area of the range is a separate job in a metal-packaging plant, so send Estes one clearly defined inspection or handling task instead of a general request for a packaging machine. [1]
Swipe or scroll the table to compare all columns.
| Portfolio area | Define for Estes | Ask Estes to show |
|---|---|---|
| Dimensional and surface inspection | Defect examples, tolerances and how parts are presented | Which of your defects the system finds |
| Code inspection | Marking type, position and accept/reject rules | Read results on your real codes |
| Leak inspection | Container, test method and acceptance criteria | Detection sensitivity on your container |
| End and cap wrapping | Part diameter, stacked-roll size and wrapping film | Ends per roll next to the rolls/min rate |
| Unwrapping and pallet handling | Incoming load pattern and the downstream connection | Which handling steps sit inside the quote |
Film wrapping and unwrapping and pallet handling often turn into projects of their own. For empty cans on pallets, the ZGXD150 empty-can depalletiser guide asks for pallet drawings, the load pattern and separator details before any rate is discussed, and Estes will need the same data.
SECTION 03
EST-EW film wrapper
The EST-EW film wrapping series comes in two variants, EST-WL and the single-lane EST-WS. Both are listed at 4–6 rolls per minute, where a roll is a stack of ends or caps wrapped together. The WL table gives several diameter groups and rolls of 500–750 mm; the WS takes rolls of 400–800 mm. Diameter bands and electrical power differ between the two. [2]
Ask Estes which format parts come with the machine and how ends are counted, stacked, transferred and wrapped. Choose the variant from the model table; the page also carries a broader size statement in its running text, and the table is the one to quote.
The wrapper detects ends that are flipped. If you also need dimensional, surface or leak inspection, plan a separate station upstream and ask whether its controls pass an accept/reject signal to the wrapper.
SECTION 04
Testing inspection equipment
For any detection job, send good parts together with parts carrying known defects. Ask which defects the offered system judges, how parts are presented to it, where rejects go and how each detection and rejection is logged. False accepts and false rejects are two different failures, so agree how each will be counted during the trial.
SECTION 05
Preparing your inquiry
For wrapping, send part drawings, edge geometry, diameter, coating or surface limits, stack length and the film you plan to use. For inspection, send defect samples and clear pass/fail rules. For linked handling, add the upstream and downstream flow, accumulation and stop conditions. Estes can then quote a machine with a clear scope.
SECTION 06
Confirm before ordering
Ask Estes to confirm in writing:
- the legal contracting entity, the assembly site, the main bought-in components and who runs the final test;
- documents for controls, guarding, electrical supply, maintenance and spare format parts for your configuration;
- current certificates with their validity, plus price and delivery date;
- installed performance results or customer references for the machine you are buying;
- the production capacity behind your delivery date.

SECTION 08
Buyer questions
Does Golden Eagle's founding date apply to Estes?
No. The profile describes two businesses, and Estes dates its own history to 2010. [1]
Does flipped-end detection cover full quality inspection?
Flipped-end detection is one feature of the wrapper. Dimensional, surface and leak inspection come from other Estes machines. [2]
Can I convert 4–6 rolls/min into ends per minute?
Only after Estes confirms how many ends make up a roll for your part and stack length.
