Rosun ROT-120A Servo Intermittent Cartoning Machine
The Rosun ROT-120A is an intermittent servo cartoner from Hangzhou Longchuang with PLC and touchscreen control. It takes cartons 110–210 mm long, 25–80 mm wide and 20–70 mm high in 250–350 g/m² board. It alarms on missing products or cartons and on failed carton picking or opening, and has safety interlocks and overload stopping. Automatic feeding, product arrangement, hot-melt gluing and printing are options. It runs on 220 V, 50 Hz and 2.3 kW with 0.6 MPa air. It suits narrow retail cartons where the buyer specifies the feeding and closing scope.

The ROT-120A in brief
The ROT-120A from Hangzhou Longchuang (Rosun) is an intermittent cartoner driven by servo motors and run from a PLC with a touchscreen. It handles cartons 110–210 mm long, 25–80 mm wide and 20–70 mm high in 250–350 g/m² board, on 220 V, 50 Hz, 2.3 kW power and 0.6 MPa air. Alarms cover missing products or cartons and failed carton picking or opening, backed by interlocks and overload stopping. Feeding, arranging, hot-melt gluing and printing are options. It suits narrow retail cartons; wider ones go to the ROT-120B.
ROT-120A and ROT-120B
Longchuang publishes both versions on one product page. They share most settings and differ mainly in carton width, so pick the column that matches your carton before asking about speed. [2]
Swipe or scroll the table to compare all columns.
| Item | ROT-120A | ROT-120B |
|---|---|---|
| Carton length | 110–210 mm | 110–210 mm |
| Carton width | 25–80 mm | 80–160 mm |
| Carton height | 20–70 mm | 20–70 mm |
| Carton board | 250–350 g/m² | 250–350 g/m² |
| Power | 220 V, 50 Hz, 2.3 kW | Same entry |
| Air pressure | 0.6 MPa | Same entry |
The ROT-120A measures 4,285 × 1,280 × 1,800 mm. Feeders, guards and service access add to that, so request a drawing of the complete installed footprint. [2]
Board weight alone does not define a carton. Send the drawing, opening direction, flap and closure design and real production samples, because two boards of the same weight can pick, open and fill differently.
Speed
The introduction on the product page gives 40–80 cartons per minute. The model table gives 80–120 for the ROT-120A and 20–80 for the ROT-120B. Longchuang adds that the material, the count per carton and the packaging material all affect speed. Ask Longchuang to confirm the rate in writing for your product, carton and feeding setup, and keep that answer with the quote revision. [2]
Longchuang also sells imported machines, and lists this model in its own intelligent-equipment range. Have the same written answer name who builds and services the unit you are buying.
Compare suppliers on accepted, finished cartons over an agreed run. Count missing-product events, failed openings, jams and recovery time. A cycle counter or a short demo without your product says little about real output.
What the base machine includes
The page lists automatic feeding, product arrangement, hot-melt glue and printing as options, and mentions linking equipment before and after the cartoner. A base cartoning machine may therefore lack some devices you need to present products and close the carton. [2]
Swipe or scroll the table to compare all columns.
| Function | What to send Longchuang |
|---|---|
| Product feeding and orientation | Product shape, count per carton and how products arrive |
| Carton supply | Blank design, storage conditions and refill method |
| Insertion | Required arrangement and any fragile or flexible parts |
| Closing | Chosen closure and whether glue equipment is in scope |
| Coding / printing | Text to print, position and legibility needs |
| Downstream transfer | Conveyor or case-packer link and stop behaviour |
The final equipment list should mark each function as included, optional, manual or supplied by another party. Beili splits scope the same way on its ampoule cartoner, which expects a separate upstream station to load the ampoules into trays first.
Test the alarms
Under an agreed safe test method, ask Longchuang to show what the offered machine does with no product present, no carton available or a failed opening. Check whether it holds back insertion, stops or rejects, and how affected packs are marked. [2]
Longchuang says format changes are modular and need no new moulds. Record the adjustments, swapped parts and restart checks, and ask for the measured changeover time between your two real formats.
Planning the acceptance trial
Begin with a fixed set of products and cartons and an agreed A-version specification. Define an accepted carton: right contents, correct closure, good appearance and any required marking. Write these limits into the contract with Longchuang.
Run typical product and carton variations. Log output, rejects, stop causes and changeover work. If automatic feeding or printing is in the order, include it in the trial; if not, mark where the trial ends. Ask for a report on your configuration, not a general catalogue video.
Confirm before ordering
Ask Longchuang to confirm in writing:
- that your carton length, width, height and board fit the ROT-120A, or what custom version you need;
- the speed for your configuration, given the different figures on the page;
- which feeding, arranging, closing and printing options are in the price;
- who builds the machine, who services it, and the downstream interfaces.
Inquiry checklist
Buyer questions
Will the standard ROT-120A take a carton 120 mm wide?
No. Its width range stops at 80 mm. A wider carton needs the ROT-120B or a custom offer confirmed in writing. [2]
Is hot-melt closing standard?
It is listed as an option. Make sure the offer names the closing method. [2]
Why is there no single speed rating here?
The product page gives different figures in its introduction and its table. Ask Longchuang for the rate that applies to your carton and product.
