BUYER PLANNING NOTES

Build a product and package matrix

List each product with its container, fill quantity and closure. Include known viscosity, temperature sensitivity, foaming behavior or particles when relevant; leave unknown properties for the technical discussion. A lotion, shampoo and cream may need separate application assessment even when they share a bottle size. Ask what samples are required before accepting a proposed dosing approach.

Check presentation as well as quantity

Use sample containers to explain the intended fill appearance, label position and closure assembly. Pumps, caps and other components should be named individually in the supply scope. Ask who feeds and assembles them, what checks are included, and how rejected packs are handled. Confirm whether decorative surfaces or unusual container shapes require additional handling trials.

Plan frequent format changes

Provide the expected sequence of products and sizes rather than only the largest production run. Discuss residual product, cleaning access, format tooling and the tasks required to restart production. Agree an acceptance trial with your actual product, packaging and appearance criteria. Record product compatibility and any destination-specific documentation requirements for confirmation by the responsible supplier or specialist; a directory category is not evidence of compliance.
